Here for sale is a unique, competitive, one-off Triumph Tiger 90 Pre 65 Trials Twin, being 60 years old it falls into the Historic taxation class hence no road tax to pay or MOT to renew each year. The V5 Logbook is here along with the original Green logbook.
It was modified around 20/25 years ago and ridden very successfully by the late John Kendall until his unfortunate passing. This machine has a custom-built wide-ratio gearbox. No oil tank but instead both engine and gearbox oil are combined in the engine with an enlarged sump, SRM clutch unit, a custom stainless exhaust system unique to this machine, Ariel leader full-width hubs, again a unique alloy custom-built fuel tank with Monza cap and seat unit combined, mounted on a custom made and lowered/slimmed subframe, Road holder fork sliders with internals customised that “work” as they should, Tapered steering head bearings. Apico wide alloy footrests are fitted, right-hand rear brake pedal along with spring loaded swivel kick start lever and gear lever end, and gas rear shocks, The motor runs on a total loss system to eliminate miss fires and enable smoother running, etc. and has a weighted rotor fitted to the n/s crankshaft & a slimmed down clutch case.
She is running on Michelin tyres which have seen very little use of alloy rims and stainless spokes. A documented pack comes with the machine with photos and diagrams showing/listing the parts both used and fitted during the modification process. Hence, the buyer is not only getting this unique machine but a full listing of parts and items used in the modification of this one-off machine but also the provenance as well.
We are based twixt Skipton and Keighley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and strongly advise viewing and inspection by any prospective buyer, but be quick there will not be many coming up like this one now.
